Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a glucose reading?

On the Today View, tap any of the four reading slots (Fasting, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner), enter your glucose value in mg/dL, and tap Save. The reading will be color-coded green (in target) or red (out of range).

How do I log food?

Tap the + button in the Food Diary section, select your meal type, enter what you ate, add optional notes, and tap Save.

Can I change my target glucose ranges?

Yes! Go to Settings and adjust your target ranges. Always consult with your healthcare provider about what ranges are appropriate for you.

How do I export my data?

Go to the Export View, select your date range, choose your format (Text, CSV, or PDF), and tap Export. You can then share via email, messages, or save to files.

Can I use SteadyMama offline?

Yes! SteadyMama works entirely offline. All your data is stored locally on your device and no internet connection is required.

Does SteadyMama sync across devices?

No. SteadyMama stores all data locally on your device only. This ensures maximum privacy - your health data never leaves your phone.

What if I accidentally delete a reading or food entry?

Currently, deleted entries cannot be recovered. We recommend exporting your data regularly as a backup.

What's included in the premium version?

Premium features include interactive charts and graphs showing your glucose trends over time, helping you visualize patterns and progress.

Common Issues

I can't see my previous readings

Use the History View to access previous days. Swipe or tap the calendar to select any past date and view that day's data.

My export file won't open

Reminders aren't working

  1. Check that you've enabled notifications for SteadyMama: Settings > Notifications > SteadyMama
  2. Verify reminder times in SteadyMama Settings
  3. Make sure Do Not Disturb is not blocking notifications

App Crashes or Freezes

  1. Make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store
  2. Restart your device
  3. If the issue persists, please contact support with details about when the crash occurs

Reading colors seem wrong

Check your target ranges in Settings. Make sure they match what your healthcare provider recommended. The default ranges are standard GDM targets but may differ from your specific needs.
